José Henrique Bortoluci is a writer and scholar based in São Paulo, Brazil.

His first book, O que é Meu (What is Mine), was published in Brazil in 2023 (Editora Fósforo). It received the 2023 APCA Award for best essay from the São Paulo Academy of Art Critics and is now being published in twelve languages by major international presses.

With 16 years of experience as a university professor, José Bortoluci is now exploring the potential of combining fiction and non-fiction, the social and the personal, in various literary and audiovisual projects.
